As you wander around the zoo, look out for koolookamba. The koolookamba is an animal believed to be half ape and half gorilla. It is hidden behind the rocks and habitats.

During summers, the visitors can cool off by going to the Katherine McGovern Water Play Park. The water park consists of 40 different water features, including a fill and spill water tree.
